Ultrasound diagnosis (ultrasound) in the musculoskeletal system is a diagnostic test that uses ultrasound waves shows the soft tissues of the body, in this case the muscles and soft tissue analysis of available joints. Ultrasound examination can be analyzed trauma, sports injuries and overuse syndromes, inflammatory diseases, changes in the part of degenerative joint diseases and tumors.

Ultrasound examination may be unavailable deeper tissues of the body or limbs and intra-tissue, for example, the structure of the knee, such as cruciate ligament, meniscus and cartilage.
